I moved to Substack in March 2024.

This blog is called Gray Truths.

It’s a murky world we live in. AI is pushing us to new dimensions. I wonder where that will leave culture, the bastion of goodness for humanity.

Sharing my thoughts and observations, helps me make sense of it all. Reading your content, inspires me.

I am American. A little European in spirit after living on the continent for several years, studying foreign languages.

So far, I have French, Russian, German, and Turkish down. I am an amateur enthusiast of Caucasian and Central Asian languages. As much as I like language, culture interests me more.

Once upon a time, I was an Aerospace Engineering student. I still have nightmares of being trapped in a Runge-Kutta numerical analysis on Fortran. Off I ran to the History and Literature departments at Texas A&M.

Around 2013, I felt a calling to help protect the freedoms granted by American democracy and our Constitution. So, I became an analyst and researcher supporting various Joint Commands for the Department of Defense after working for NATO Institutions. It has been a journey.

Back to this blog. How to express my thoughts and share research free from the formality of academia and limiting boundaries of pure analysis? Will that even work?
